David Katz
Over the past several decades David has been extensively involved in natural resource management and business as an entrepreneur, consultant, and executive with wide experience in the in the non-profit and business sectors. He is the former CEO of Ag Access Corporation, a leading publisher of agricultural information with an emphasis on organic and sustainable practices. Earlier in his career he was a co-founder and the first Executive Director of the Farallones Institute; was a leader in establishing the organic farming movement in California; he served as Executive Director of the Sonoma Land Trust, and served as California Director of Trout Unlimited. Currently, David is a consultant focused on ecosystem-scale land and natural resource conservation as well as agricultural and food industry assignments.

David served as President of the California Reclamation Board, testifying to congress on numerous occasions and helped shape California's floodway and river management policy. Other board service has included the Board of the National Agricultural Library, California Farmlink, Sonoma County Museum, the Organic Farming Research Foundation, and was the President of Point Foundation, the publisher of the Whole Earth Catalog and Whole Earth magazine, as well as serving on several for-profit company boards.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agro-ecosystems from the University of California, Davis, and a Masters Degree from the School of Forestry at Yale University. He has published numerous articles and contributed chapters to several books.
