Tim McNally
Tim McNally is a seasoned executive with over twenty years experience
structuring, financing, building and managing high-growth technology
companies, in U.S. and international markets. He has extensive experience
in digital media and entertainment as well as energy and the built
environment.
As principal of Acuity Consulting, Tim has been interim CFO and advisor for
high-profile emerging technology and entertainment companies, including
virtual world and entrepreneurship creator Linden Lab, through their
institutional venture capital and debt funding, and rapid expansion.
Tim was CFO and Executive VP of Operations & Development at digital
entertainment incubator and syndication company Mondo Media for eight years,
where he co-developed the plan and managed finance, operations, technology,
and HR from "bootstrap" through $40 million of venture, advance sales, and
lease financing.
At Apple Computer, Tim developed, launched, and carried P&L responsibility
for the in-house venture debt fund, FinanceTech. There he profitably
financed over 30 emerging companies which introduced products and services
of strategic importance to Apple. Tim also held channel development, product
management, and international sales management positions during a ten-year
tenure at Apple.
Tim was a Fulbright Scholar pioneering research on energy conservation in
buildings at the Teknologisk Institut in Taastrup, Denmark. He is also a
California licensed general contractor. He holds an MBA from the Wharton
School and a BS (with honors) mechanical engineering degree from Princeton
University with concentrations in energy sciences and digital control.
