Jack E. Williams III, Managing Director

In addition to working with Ecosa Capital, Jack is managing partner of Ceres Management Group (CMG), a farm acquisition and management company with properties in the Southern San Joaquin Valley.

From 2005 to 2007, Jack was Vice President, Business Development and Operations for CyberCity 3D (www.cybercity3d.com), a developer and marketer of state-of-the-art, computer-based 3D urban models and visualization software for industrial, architectural, engineering, and GIS applications.

Jack has more than 25 years experience in operations, project management, and business development for both start-up and Fortune 500 environmental management and cleantech companies including U.S. Microbics, Harrier Inc., TRW Space Systems, URS, and The IT Group.

Jack’s endeavors outside the sustainability space have included co-developing and operating a 9,000 square foot restaurant and brewery, and founding and operating a monthly 80-page lifestyle magazine. Jack is currently an advisor to the GreenHive, a Los Angeles-based promoter of sustainable design, education, and building practices.

Some of his other projects have included: 

  • Conducted a $20-million nationwide acquisition search for small environmental engineering companies for a public California-based environmental technology company;
  • Conducted strategic market/regulatory reviews for a Swiss technology company planning to introduce a diesel engine emissions control technology (BACT) to the United States; and
  • Provided strategic advice for a San Diego-based start-up and manufacturer and marketer of “green” agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial products.

Jack received a BS from the University of California, Riverside, an MS in environmental engineering from University of Southern California, and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
